Nvidia's Blackwell wants to run your coding agents and stream your games

The tech giant just dropped two major announcements that reveal where our computing resources are going. First, the corporate flex: Nvidia’s new GB300 NVL72 platform—built on the Blackwell architecture—swept the first "AgentPerf" benchmark by Artificial Analysis.
Running the massive DeepSeek V4 Pro model, Nvidia claims Blackwell can run up to 20 times more concurrent AI agents per megawatt than older Hopper H200 systems.
Unlike a chatbot that answers a question and falls silent, "agentic" AI is a grueling relay race. Coding assistants like Cursor (powered by Together AI on Blackwell) don't just output text; they write code, compile it, run searches, and debug errors in a continuous loop.
Doing that at scale takes a terrifying amount of electricity, which is why Nvidia is bragging about megawatts.
Blackwell on the Cheap
Meanwhile, on the consumer side, Nvidia is clearing out virtual inventory with its GeForce NOW summer sale. They are slashing $70 off the 12-month Ultimate tier (which streams at up to 4K and 120 fps) and $35 off the Performance tier.
Under the hood, Ultimate members are getting a backend upgrade to Blackwell architecture (RTX 5080-class performance in the cloud) for free. This bypasses the need to purchase a physical, power-hungry graphics card for your living room.
Who Actually Wins?
For now, the leverage is in the hands of enterprise giants and scale-out developers. If you are Cursor or the car dealership assistant Pam.ai (running on DeepInfra), running 20x more agents on the same power bill makes your business model actually make sense.
For the average consumer, it means AI agents might finally get fast and cheap enough to be useful, rather than feeling like a slow, expensive novelty.
For gamers, the GeForce NOW discount is a rare win for the wallet. Renting a virtual Blackwell rig for a year is suddenly much cheaper than trying to build one, especially with heavy hitters like Guild Wars 3 arriving on the cloud at launch.
